VERY basic Animation is very jumpy on this P3 650Mhz. 512 RAM laptop. Not smooth at all. It is what it is - a basic Freecell program.

I`m Happy I downloaded this version of Freecell yesterday hoping to replace the one that was packaged with my computer software package, which was way too over engineered for me. I didn't appreciate the way every game ended in the cards cascading and shattering, which took forever. The one I downloaded is simple. The icon just sits on my desktop. PlayBasic Quick Review I only d/l PlayBasic yesterday so it's too early to give any real review as yet. I wanted to show my son (age 7) something about programming. While most programs are done in some form of C, basic is what i know (knew?) I was very glad i found this, and was able to show him how to do an endless loop, and how to correct it.(one note: With an endless loop, had to Endtask , to stop it from running. I am new to programming and found Just BASIC very usefull. The totorials are very helpful.The way it colours things like variables and statements is also very usefull.

Beginner Since I am a beginner, I am just beginning to learn, so there is much I cannot comment on at this time.Just Basic is, to my relief, no as complicated most other Basic Versions.I have programmed in the original Basic which could perform graphics very rapidly if the code was tight.I find newer basics, such as Just Basic, slow graphic performance too much for professional level games.I believe too much excess has been added to the Basic Language.The saying is still true: KISS.
